Choquequirao Trek 4 Days & 3 Nights

Day 01: Cusco – Cachora – Chiquisca.

Our bus will pick you up from your hotel at 06:00 a.m. Then, we will begin our journey to the village of Cachora. Our trip lasted approximately 5 hours from Cusco to Cachora. (2800 m. / 9,186 ft). At approximately 10:00 a.m. And then, we’ll begin our trek along this path we will see the most beautiful scenery in the area and get to the open Capuliyoc (2915 m. / 9,563 ft). In the place, we will have lunch with a panoramic view of the valley of the Apurimac and the snow peak of Padreyoc and Wayna Cachora, from Capuliyoc our first glimpses of Choquequirao and then we’ll descend to Coca Masana (2,330 masl / 7,644 ft). Where the climate here is hot and wildlife begins to change. Finally, we’ll reach CHIQUISCA (1,900 masl / 6,233 ft) near Apurimac River where will be our 1st camp.

Day 02: Chiquisca – “Rosalina Beach” – Choquequirao.

Early in the morning, we will have our breakfast at 06:00 a.m and then continue our walk around 1hour and 30 min. Down to reach Rosalina beach and cross a suspension bridge over “Rio Apurimac”. Then, we’ll begin to ascend the mountain of Santa Rosa (2,115 masl / 6,938 ft.) During our tour, we will see the vegetation in the area. Then, we’re gonna reach Maranpata off Chunchumayo River where we will have a short break. This stretch is very hard because after our break we’ll have 3 hours for climbing Maranpata (2,850 m. / 9,350 ft.). And we’ll continue to Choquequirao, our 2nd camp.

Day 03: Choquequirao – Maranpata – Chiquisca.

After our Andean breakfast at 07:00 a.m, we will have a visit to Choquequirao for 3 hours, then we’ll return to Maranpata to descend to the beach Rosalina from Maranpata to Choquequirao (3,035 masl / 9,957 ft), we’ll enjoy the amazing views of the Apurimac Canyon and if you have the opportunity to see the condor in flight. We’ll arrive at Maranpata, continuing to Chiquisca where we’ll have lunch and then enjoy the entrance of the sun; here, it will be the last camp.

Day 4: Chiquisca – Capuliyoc – Cachora – Cusco.

After our breakfast in Chiquisca at 06:00 a.m, we’ll return and take the path to Cachora where we will climb for an approximate time of 2 hours and 30min till Capuliyoc Pass (2,915 masl / 9,563 ft.). From here, we will have 4 hours to get to the village of Cachora (2,800 masl / 9,186.35 ft.). Arriving at approximately 12:00 p.m. During Cachora tour, we will see the lush landscapes and the majestic snow-capped mountains and the impressive Canyon of Apurimac. In Cachora, we will have lunch and then we’ll continue our trip to Cusco. Arriving at 08:00 p.m.
