This full day excursion takes you back in time to the Sacred Valley of Incas. Your day will begin in Pisaq.
Pisaq is a native town where you can visit the market of Pisaq where you can purchase beautifully crafted products of the same place.
On Sunday, the main attraction is a mass celebrated in Quechua and Spanish,(for the moment the church is in restauration ) attended by the Mayors and their helpers who play traditional musical instruments called "Pututos." Afterwards we'll enjoy a lunch break.
Then we'll visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo. Its main attraction is the Temple of the Sun, built using pink massive stones, each approximately 3m./ 12 ft tall. This temple was used as a fortress during the time of the Inca civil war.
After visiting both places we return to Cusco, on the way back we stop for a while in Chinchero for having the last change for shopping at 3700 m./12,139ft. This small town has a very nice market where you can buy a variety of handcrafts made by Indians.
We arrive in Cusco approximately about 6:30 pm, where you'll be transferred back to your hotel.
